Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Allah says in the Glorious Quran: And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah ." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy. (31:12)
Let us all think deeply about the fruitful, and the beautiful advice Luqman ('alaihissalam) has given to his beloved son. Indeed this is something which if we deeply understand and follow it, surely the situation of the Entire Ummah will be changed inshaAllah. Let us see what does it contains.
1. First of All, Luqman ('alaihissalam) advices his son on Tawheed, and makes him understand that associating a partner with Allah (subuhaanahu wata'aala) is the greatest of injustice one can make on the face of the earth.
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah . Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice." (Surah Luqman, Verse 13)
2. Reminds his son of the importance of Obeying the Parents, and the rights of them on him.
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. (Surah Luqman, Verse 14 and 15)
3. Describes some of the might of Allah. Mentions the power of Knowledge and Control of his Lord that nobody should ever forget.
[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted." (Surah Luqman, Verse 16)

The Reality of "Democracy" among them?? Lets see what they did this time!
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Owkey let us find a "global" definition for this term. I have searched some documents in great areas like Encyclopedia Britannica also. They ALL conclude one common characteristic of it which is, "EQUAL say of ALL the figures/people involved in the selection, election and/or decision to do something."
I am sure that you all know very well about the so called "rules" they have in "Democracy". So the purpose of this post is not to mention any explanation of that word, nor to make any highlights about the "changes" this "Democracy" has brought into our communities. If Allah Wills, we will make a ponder over those things in detail in another opportunity.
We all know thoroughly that it is the West which has brought us something called "Democracy" and opened markets to sell this "product". So let us look at the "Democracy" not in Italy, not in US, and not in British either, but the "Democracy" they practice in the United Nations (UN). The World's most Powerful Organisation after the League of Nations which had 58 members, but collapsed due to the World War 2.
So what am I going to point out in THIS post??
If I were to ask you about Democracy, what would be your answer?

"Take These Words to Those Who Could Not be Present Here Today" - Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
After praising, and thanking Allah he (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:
"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY
.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd’al Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Letters of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the Leaders - Part 7
A Letter to Haudha bin ‘Ali, Governor of Yamama
"In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
From Muhammad, Messenger of Allâh to Haudha bin ‘Ali.
Peace be upon him who follows true guidance. Be informed that my religion shall prevail everywhere. You should accept Islam, and whatever under your command shall remain yours."
The envoy chosen was Sulait bin ‘Amr Al-‘Amiri, who after communicating his message, carried back the following reply to the Prophet ,
"The Faith, to which you invite me, is very good. I am a famous orator and poet, the Arabs highly respect me and I am of account among them. If you include me in your government, I am prepared to follow you."
The governor then bestowed a reward on Sulait and presented him with clothes made of Hajr fabric. Of course, he put all those presents in the trust of the Prophet .
The Prophet did not accept Haudha’s demand. He usually turned down such peremptory tone, and would say that the whole matter was in the Hand of Allâh, Who gave His land to whoever He desired. Gabriel later came with the Revelation that Haudha had died. The Prophet , in the context of his comment on this news, said: "Yamama is bound to give rise to a liar who will arrogate Prophethood to himself but he will subsequently be killed." In reply to a question relating to the identity of the killer, the Prophet said "It is one of you, followers of Islam."[Za'd Al-Ma'ad 3/63]
InshaAllah in the next post, we are going to learn about the letter of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), to the King of Damascus.

Letters of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the Leaders - Part 6
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
A Letter to Mundhir bin Sawa, Governor of Bahrain
The Prophet , despatched ‘Al-‘Ala’ bin Al-Hadrami to the governor of Bahrain, carrying a letter inviting him to embrace Islam. In reply, Al-Mundhir bin Sawa wrote the following letter:
"Allâh’s Messenger ! I received your injunctions. Prior to this, I read your letter, which you wrote to the people of Bahrain extending to them an invitation to Islam. Islam appealed to some of them and they entered the fold of Islam, while others did not find it appealing. In my country, there live Magians and Jews, and therefore you may inform me of the treatment to be extended to them."
The Prophet wrote the following letter in reply to his:
"In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
From Muhammad, Messenger of Allâh to Mundhir bin Sawa.
Peace be on you! I praise Allâh with no associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Thereafter, I remind you of Allâh, the Mighty, the Glorious. Whoever accepts admonition, does it for his own good. Whoever follows my messengers and acts in accordance with their guidance, he, in fact, accepts my advice.
My messengers have highly praised your behaviour. You shall continue in your present office. Give the new Muslims full chance to preach their religion. I accept your recommendation regarding the people of Bahrain, and I pardon the offences of the offenders; therefore, you may also forgive them.
Of the people of Bahrain whoever wants to go on in their Jewish or Magian faith, should be made to pay Jizya (poll-tax)." [Za'd Al-Ma'ad 3/61,62]

How to get reward of 5 Subuh in One day??
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Shocked? Can that really happen? Owkeiy lets see if we can find a way to do it. :)
Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever invites towards (the path of) guidance shall receive a reward equal to the rewards of those who follow him without this decreasing anything from their rewards." (Sahih Muslim)
So if you wake up for Subuh and wakes 4 more people (may be family members or friends), and if they do Subuh then inshaAllah you have successfully done it. Of-course you can increase the number to anymuch you wish inshaAllah. :)

The difference in the hearing of men and women. How did Islam accomodate this unique fact?? Wanna know??
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
As the heading says, we often hear that the men and women has differences in hearing capability. But how? And Why? To get the answers to your questions, patiently read ahead my brother/sister.
The first systematic evaluation of the hearing of girls and boys was performed by Professor John Corso of Penn State University in the late 1950's and early 1960's. Dr. Corso simply used a soundproof booth, headphones, and a tone generator. He consistently found that the girls hear better than boys do, especially in the range of frequencies above 2 kHz. See John Corso, Age and sex differences in thresholds, Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 31:498-507, 1959; also John Corso, Aging and auditory thresholds in men and women, Archives of Environmental Health, 6:350-356, 1963.
Likewise, Professor Jane Cassidy at Louisiana State University Professor Cassidy, in a study of 350 newborn baby girls and boys, found that the girls hearing was substantially more sensitive than the boys, especially in the 1000- to 4000-Hz range which is so important for speech discrimination. See Jane Cassidy and Karen Ditty. Gender differences among newborns on a transient otoacoustic emissions test for hearing. Journal of Music Therapy, 37:28-35, 2001.
A variety of more recent studies using more sophisticated technology have not only confirmed the superior hearing of girls at higher frequencies, but have also begun to demonstrate the anatomical basis for that superiority. The group led by Hiroaki Sato was the first to demonstrate consistent sex differences in the anatomy of the inner ear: girls are born with a cochlea which is shorter and stiffer than boys. The shorter, stiffer cochlea provides a more sensitive frequency response. See their paper, Sexual dimorphism and development of the human cochlea. Acta Otolaryngologica, 111:1037-1040, 1991.
A few years later, a French group led by Thierry Morlet demonstrated that the hair cells themselves are stiffer (and therefore more sensitive) in girls compared to the hair cells in boys. See their paper, Development of cochlear active mechanisms in humans differs between gender, Neuroscience Letters, 220:49-52, 1996.
From the above information, we have known about some reasons why and how the hearing of men and women differs. Now let us move a bit further, towards that tree which you can see at distance over there. Yes thats correct! The tree of Islam. In other words, the tree which claimed that it has ALL the solutions to the problems of the traveler who stops under it.
How does Islam accommodate this reality between men and women???

10 Sickness of Our Hearts
Assalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
Often we all feel that our Eeman gets low due to several reasons. Everyone of us try to get a solution to it. However, can we know the cure before knowing the real disease? Here we go on with some sickness which we have in our hearts, which leads to so many dangerous, really dangerous problems which leads us to lose both this world and the hereafter. Let us together find what are these sicknesses.
1. You believe in the existence of Allah swt, but, you do not fulfill His Commands.
2. You say you love the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) but you do not follow his Sunnah.
3. You read the Holy Qur'an, but you do not put it into practice.
4. You enjoy all the benefits from Allah, but, you are not grateful to Him.
5. You acknowledge Shaitan as your enemy, but, you do not go against him.
6. You want to enter Paradise, but, you do not work for it.
7. You do not want to be thrown into Hellfire, but yet, you do not run from it.
8. You believe that every living thing will face death, and you are not prepared for it.
9. You gossip and find faults in others, but, you forget your own faults and bad habits.
10. You bury the dead, but, you do not take a lesson from it.
May Allah (subuhaanahu wata'aala) make our hearts and our actions pure, and grant us Jannah.
